Spreading the Light
In these dark times with Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the out pouring of light and love from people all over the country is making a difference.
Hurricane Milton was supposed to hit land as a Category 5 storm. Miraculously, it came in as a Category 2 storm.
Divided we are weak, United we are strong.
We will get through this together!

The only power we really have is right here in this very moment.
We can't change the past, and the future isn't here yet. All we have is right here and right now.
That is why meditation is sometimes referred to as a Powerful Pause.
For when we sit quietly, disconnect from the thoughts in our head; and connect to the feelings in our heart, we are connected to ALL THINGS and INFINITE POSSIBILITIES.
That's the Powerful part!

Great people throughout history have all been faced with the mental process of standing up for what's right. Justice for all people and administered equally .
Martin Luther King Jr. stood up for justice in a respectful and non-violent way. Such peaceful actions took clear-minded principles conveyed in a strong, yet calm manner.
We all are equipped with these abilities, and we have been shown how to display them. Now we just need to bring our actions to this process.
This takes an element of courage. The easiest way to bring in the courage, is to participate in local community meetings, arm and arm with your friends who also believe the community should be governed will liberty and justice for all.
"An Honest Look At REALITY"
Sometimes holiday gatherings can be challenging. When they are, we need to take an honest look at what's going on.
Maybe you find that others don't have the same beliefs or opinions that you do. NEWSFLASH: They aren't suppose to!!!
Think about your Thanksgiving table, if every dish was seasoned the exact same way, the meal would be dull and boring. But as it is, some dishes are delightful to your personal taste, while others you can take or leave....HOWEVER all the dishes bring value to the meal.
So it is with the people around the table. Each person brings an unique flavor to the gathering. Since we have no control over others, we have only our-self to look at. Are we bringing something that blends with the occasion, or something sour and off putting?
This is my personal way to prepare myself for theses gatherings. I look at myself as a gift I'm bringing to the celebration. I try to wrap it to the best of my ability, all the w...
In these crazy times we're living in, we need to make sure we aren't adding to the surrounding chaos.
When there are wars, and rumors of wars....how do we become part of the Solution, rather than part of the problem?
We do this by managing our own Emotions.
-Identify what you're feeling. Honor those feelings by labeling or defining them.
-Take a pause for the cause.
-Think through all your options about what you're feeling.
-Then respond with a calm and clear mind; rather than a knee jerk reaction to the situation.
Remember....wherever attention goes, energy flows.
Control your attention, and bring peace to this planet.
When you walk in another persons shoes, and see the situation from their perspective too; it's easier to have compassion and forgive them for some ill placed words or mistaken action. We are all trying to navigate through this life and learn our own lessons.
That is what we came here to do. Learn and Grow. We might not get things right the very first time, and there will be mistakes; by others, and also ourselves. So have equal amounts of compassion and forgiveness for all involved, including you.

WHEN THE WORLD IS IN CHAOS, HOW DO YOU RE-FOCUS?
This is a great question, and the answer is, you have to prepare for it. It's learning to control your inner world regardless of what's happen in the world outside of your physical being. This can be hard at first, especially when people talk about things going wrong in the world.
That is why you need to PREPARE for it. Just as you would prepare to run a marathon; enter a body building competition; playing a major league sport; or even riding a bike!
How many times did you have to practice, before you were successful at riding a bike?
It's an unreasonable expectation to believe you should be able to quiet your mind, the first time you go inside and get calm. So take it easy on yourself and just practice. Practice every day. Do it for only 15 minutes. Don't be attached to any specific outcome these 15 minutes are supposed to bring. Just show up, and notice what you notice in that 15 minutes without any judgement.
Do this as a daily r...
