Definition of "Courage" from Webster's Unabridged Dictionary:

   "The quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear, bravery."

We just finished celebrating 247 years of Independence from the Crown Monarchy.  Imagine the courage our forefathers had to have to stand up against the military might of the Royal Navy and the many battleships in the harbor.

Where has this courage gone?  These men fought, some died, and others wrote our Constitution which is the highest law in the land.  How many have read the Constitution?  It’s not that big of a text….AND it defines all of the rights that are held by the People of this Country.  It also defines a small parameter which our voted official can operate within.  Anything outside of that given parameter is Unconstitutional.

What happens when the government operates outside of those parameters?  That’s what the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights tells us what we can, and must do.  If n...

Didn't our parents try to teach us this?  I'm sure I'm not the only one whose parents said, “If your friends jumped of a bridge, does that mean you have to?"

It's important for us to think for ourselves.  We are all here for a different part to play in life, so does it make sense for everyone to think the same?  Do the same thing?  Have the same opinion?

NO!  Nothing new would be created if we did!

You are expanding and growing as a person.  You're creating a new tomorrow, for you, your family, and your community.

Enjoy the freedom of learning from your experiences, the good experiences and the bad ones.  For me, I've learned more from the experiences that didn't go as planned.

Success is trying something new and unfamiliar.

Objective definition:

A person who is not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts.  Being impartial or unbiased.

        Subjective definition:

A person who is influenced by personal feelings, taste or opinions.  Allowing emotions or biases to sway the outcome.

To gain clarity in your life, make sure you understand which lens you're looking through.

Once you discover something is damaged in your life and needs repair, there's an honest assessment that's needed.

To be able to step back and objectively look at your options.

I actually went through my home being severely damaged due to a fire.  My sister came over, looked at the house and said "What a Tragedy!"  Without a delay I replied, "No, it's not a tragedy, it's an inconvenience."

I'm not sure if I said that for her, or for me!!  There was so much work ahead of me, so many belongings destroyed, that when I looked at it as a "Tragedy"....I felt my energy depleted; but if it's an "Inconvenience", then I had the energy to deal with the situation.

When dealing with a big change like a sudden fire, your emotions waver back and forth as you find something dear that's now lost....processing the feelings....then return back to gratitude that no one got hurt.  We need to feel our feelings, but then we also need to regain our balance and notice what is still going well in our lives....

Now is the time to stand up and be counted.  The time for you to write....or re-write your story.  You're not writing this story for anyone else; you're writing this story for you!

Too many times people stick their nose into our business.  And if we're truthful, we'll realize how many times we stick our business into other people faces (facebook).  If people were living their authentic lives, they wouldn't even notice if anyone sees them at all.  Totally Unplugged from the good (or bad) opinions of others.  Other peoples opinions are none of "our" business.  They can only take us off of our path...our "True North".

Be Brave, Be Bold, Be Beautiful.....Be YOU!

If you write a beautiful enough story, others will eventually notice.  However this story, this dream, this life...is really for you.
